EAGLE Scholars
EAGLE Scholars is made up of a ethnically and culturally diverse group of seventh through college students, all of whom are focused on a four-year college degree as their goal. The EAGLE Scholars program is designed to help our Scholars develop the skills they already have and acquire the ones they need in order to help them successfully navigate the educational system. We engage students from middle school through college in experiential learning and expose them to new thoughts and ideas in order for them to internalize the notion that they are college material and can begin working toward their goals and dreams.

The EAGLE Scholars program develops leaders by emphasizing Scholar voice and fostering genuine relationships, enabling each Scholar to have continuous input into the program and map the best path to success for themselves and each other. We challenge Scholars to step out of their comfort zone and explore new things, aiming to help them decide on the career that fulfills them the most. Our combination of individual family meetings, college readiness meetings, college visits, career workshops, and cultural engagement activities address each Scholar’s unique needs to be prepared mentally and academically to be a First Gen college graduate.

Scholars apply to the program in middle school. They go through an application process that includes a teacher recommendation and an interview by older EAGLE Scholars. Once accepted into the program, Scholars are able to stay in the program and receive support until college graduation. We are also working on ways to extend that support to helping them get settled into a career because we believe that Scholars should be engaged throughout their academic journey, not just part-way, so that they get the support necessary to excel as individuals and community leaders.

General Scholarships
Over the years, we have identified a list of scholarships that are open to all students. We have seen a high success rate for students in these scholarships, and they have continually provided needed funds for students to successfully begin their higher education. We encourage all students to apply to these scholarships.
Additionally, Conrad Counselor’s Corner actively maintains a list of scholarships that are also open to all students.
